Fabric Wash & Care Instructions

Care Instructions

Wash all material before sewing to allow for material shrinkage, with the exception of bamboo/cotton muslin.  Hem muslin fabric prior to washing to reduce fraying.  

COTTON FABRICS

  • Machine wash on cold; 
  • Tumble dry on medium heat; 
  • Warm iron on reverse side to print; 
  • Wash with similar colours before sewing to allow for material shrinkage.  

STRETCH FABRICS

  • Machine wash on cold; 
  • tumble dry on medium heat; 
  • Warm iron on reverse side to print; 
  • Wash with similar colours before sewing to allow for material shrinkage.  

BAMBOO / COTTON MUSLIN FABRICS

  • Machine wash on cold with similar colours;
  • Tumble dry on medium heat; 
  • Warm iron; 
  • It is recommended to hem edges prior to sewing to reduce fraying.  

DOUBLE GAUZE FABRICS

  • Machine wash on cold with similar colours;
  • Tumble dry on medium heat; 
  • Warm iron; 
  • It is recommended to hem edges prior to sewing to reduce fraying.  

LINEN FABRICS

  • Machine wash on cold; 
  • Tumble dry on medium heat; 
  • Warm iron; 
  • Wash with similar colours before sewing to allow for material shrinkage.  

    SWADDLES - BAMBOO & COTTON

    • Machine wash on cold with similar colours;
    • Tumble dry on medium heat; 
    • Warm iron.  

    POLYESTER FABRICS

    • Machine wash on cold with similar colours.  Max 60°C; 
    • Hand wash with luke warm water and a gentle/sensitive detergent.  Do not wring; 
    • Line dry out of direct sunlight.  Do not tumble dry; 
    • Do not bleach; 
    • No need to wash product before use; 
    • Do not iron.  Do not dry clean.  

    SWIM FABRICS

    • Gentle machine wash on cold with similar materials or hand wash with luke warm water.  Suitable for use with mild/sensitive detergent when washing. 
    • Line dry out of direct sunlight.  Do not tumble dry.  Do not dry clean.  
    • Do not iron; 
    • Do not bleach; 
    • Some sunscreen lotions may cause marks or damage to swim fabric.  Wash/rinse immediately after use; 
    • Colours may run if care instructions are not followed as directed.
